Zaru, a new noodle shop led by the awarded Tung brothers, will soon be opening at 1114 E Colonial Drive, just west of Mills Ave, according to recent reporting in Orlando Weekly

The restaurant will “feature a 25-seat dining room and open kitchen. The concept will allow guests to enjoy scratch-made udon noodles, handcrafted from premium Japanese flour sourced from Kagawa prefecture, the birthplace of udon, in Japan. The Tungs will also bring special equipment from Kagawa to raise the udon-eating understanding of noodle lovers in Orlando,” Orlando Weekly writes.

“We wanted to carry on the 500-year-old noodle making tradition,” Johnny Tung said to the publication. “Traveling throughout Japan earlier this year, I loved how the udon tasted there, and wanted to bring that experience back to Florida.”

Until this exciting new concept opens its doors, eager readers can sample the duo’s work at Camille, Foreigner, and the upcoming Sorekara.
