According to recent reporting, a classic area establishment will soon open a new location under a new generation of leadership.

Paulie Krasniqi, son of the original Johnny’s Diner owner, Johnny Krasniqi, will open Johnny’s Diner in the former home of Daybreak Diner at 3335 Curry Ford Road this October, per Weekly.

“My dad owns the one on University,” Kraniqui tells What Now. “I’ll be running this location with cousins.”

When asked what differences readers can expect at this location, he states the core product will remain the same.

“Same values, food, and family-centered. But we’ll put in about $200,000 of renovations.”

“We’ll implement a more modern look, but still family-centered,” he elaborates.  “It’ll be the same concept and menu.”

When asked why Curry Ford Road, Krasniqi points to family history.

“We grew up in this area so it’s a very sentimental place for us. This location was always one that we had wanted.”

The location will open sometime in October.
