Juici Patties, the fast casual restaurant that offers authentic Jamaican patties and coco bread, is bringing its Jamaican favorites to Palm Bay. According to franchise partner Analisa Duncan, the restaurant is expected to open at 1153 Malabar Road, NE some time by the end of November.
In 1978, Jukie Chin started a cottage business by making patties at home and selling them in his family’s grocery store in Jamaica. The patties proved to be so popular, he opened his first shop in May Pen, Clarendon, Jamaica in 1980.
Since then, Juici Patties has grown to be one of the most successful chains in Jamaica, with more than 60 locations throughout the country. Led by Jukie Chin’s son, Daniel Chin, the restaurant chain has entered the U.S. market with a goal of spreading authentic Jamaican culture and cuisine. Currently there are 16 locations throughout Florida and New York.
The company is also very community minded. In its home of Jamaica, it has implemented the Juici Patties Elderly Soup Feeding Program to assist seniors. In addition, it sponsors youth football and and youth leadership programs.
Juici Patties specializes in authentic Jamaican patties filled with spicy beef, mild beef, curry chicken, and spinach. In addition, the restaurant serves coco bread, avocados, French fries, and plantains.
