The owners of Kelly’s Homemade Ice Cream are looking to make one of their scoop shops into a test kitchen and move some of their production to a new site in the Orlando area. The successful family-owned ice cream chain has five scoop shops and five ice cream counters in the Orlando area.

According to an Orlando Sentinel article, “Kelly’s plans to move its production to a site that won’t have a retail side [until] early next year” but ” will still make ice cream at the Corrine Drive shop.” Co-Owner Kelly Siedl spoke with the Orlando Sentinel and said the Corrine Drive site will “probably be like [a research and development] test kitchen and maybe we’ll bring groups in … to show them how it’s made.”

Kelly’s Homemade Ice Cream menu includes homemade ice cream with featured flavors like “Key Lime Pie, Chocolate Covered Cherry, Cinnamon Crunch, Chocolate Mint Oreo and Blueberry Lemon Swirl.” Non-dairy options like sorbets are available but change seasonally. To check out all of the ice cream options, check out Kelly’s online menu.

An address for the new production site has not been disclosed yet but those in the Orlando area should be on the lookout for it. The address for the site that will become a test kitchen is 3114 Corrine Dr. in Orlando. For more information about Kelly’s Homemade Ice Cream, visit their Instagram and Facebook pages.
