La Michoacana, the popular Mexican dessert chain, will soon be opening an Ocoee location at 101 W Silver Star Road, within unit 10, according to recent public records.

“This will be our fourth location,” store owner & operator Vicente Barajas tells What Now Orlando. Though Mr. Barajas runs this and other Michoacana outposts, he emphasizes that the brand has no formal founder given its deep roots in Michoacán, Mexico, before records of ownership were established.

Readers unfamiliar with the chain can expect a classic lineup of aguas frescas (freshly-made drinks such as hibiscus or limeade), paletas (Mexican-style popsicles), and classic ice cream — along with a selection of snacks such as funnel cake, crepes, and tortas.

“My favorite agua fresca is the lime and cucumber,” Mr. Barajas shares. “And for the paleta—despite the fact that we have over 60 flavors, I’m a traditional guy: my favorite is cookie n cream.”

No official opening date has been set.
