The locally owned and operated churro restaurant El Sospechoso (The Suspicious One) will soon be opening at 5795 W Irlo Bronson Memorial Hwy, according to a recent filing with the State of Florida. The restaurant will be near many Latin American restaurants such as Señor Taco Manny’s and Tacos Padrísimo.
What Now Orlando briefly reached out to owner Jose Gonzalez who confirmed the upcoming location and its prominent offerings of churros, but was unable to provide much more information due to a busy schedule.
The restaurant seems to be a brick-and-mortar expansion of the nearby food truck El Sospechoso, which serves churros, Venezuelan food alongside classic American fare such as hamburgers and steak. The food truck has been praised by some local foodies as “the best Venezuelan food in town” and even serves the patacón, a type of Venezuelan sandwich topped off with flattened and fried plantains instead of bread.
Until the brick and mortar location opens its doors, curious foodies can try the original food truck at 5811 W Irlo Bronson Memorial Hwy.
