The locally-owned Dominican restaurant and bakery Mi Casa will be operating under new ownership, according to a recent filing with the State of Florida. The restaurant is located at 4579 13th St. in St. Cloud and has long enjoyed a loyal clientele from the area.

What Now Orlando recently spoke to owner Jesús Fernandez who was busy at the restaurant’s location and was not immediately available to give in-depth answers to questions about prospective changes. He quickly noted, however, that no serious alterations to the menu or concept would be taking place.

Grounded in the cuisine of the Spanish-speaking Caribbean, Mi Casa serves classic dishes such as garlic shrimp, mofongo, chicken breast with plantain and grilled meat with rice. In the way of desserts, foodies can order staples such as dulce de leche, coconut flan and tres leches cake.
