Phoebe’s Homemade Ice Cream & Cafe, a locally-owned establishment, will soon be coming to Oviedo according to recent public records. The establishment will be located at 1954 W State Road 426, within suite 1106, near Mission BBQ and and Cavallari Gourmet.

“We’ll be serving homemade ice cream, made from scratch. We’ll also have non-diary and sugar-free options,” co-owner Diego Da Rocha tells What Now Orlando. “We’ll also have coffee, hot and cold espresso-based drinks, teas, and some pastries for the clients.”

When asked why Oviedo was chosen for the couple’s venture, Mr. Da Rocha points to genuine appreciation for the area.

“We chose this location because we are from Brazil and have been living in America for five years. After establishing ourselves in Winter Garden, we got to know the Orlando metro area and fell in love with Oviedo and hoped to relocate there one day.”

And will customers find a taste of Brazil at Phoebe’s?

“The only Brazilian offering we hope to have at the cafe is pao de queijo. Though, my wife hopes to bake up some cakes with strong Brazilian character.”

While there is no set opening date, Da Rocha hopes to clear the permitting requirements soon and plan their big Oviedo premiere.
