Rocco’s Italian Deli & Market, a locally-owned establishment, will soon make its way to Cocoa Beach, according to recent public records. The establishment will be located at 1 S Orlando Avenue, right downtown, near Area 142 and Ajo Modern Cuban.

Owner Rita Moran confirms to What Now Orlando that Rocco’s will focus on sandwiches and simple Italian dishes as is common in the deli setup. Regarding specific dishes and opening dates, Moran simply says, “I don’t have any of those details yet.”

Despite Ms. Moran’s commitment to privacy, her enthusiasm on the phone was palpable, a great sign for eager readers in the area. Fortunately, key details can be deduced from the establishment’s location within the former Twin Finnegan’s — the space features a bar, booths, tables, and an outdoor patio, making for a relaxed, beachside atmosphere.

As Moran goes public with more details this summer, What Now Orlando will update this story accordingly,
