According to recent public records, Margarita Island Mexican Kitchen & Bar is working on a new location.
Ormond Beach will be the newest home of the growing local chain when the newest spot opens on 24 Ocean Shore Blvd.
“I came to Brevard County in 2021 and opened on Merritt Island and it has been successful,” said owner David Gonzalez to the Viera Voice.
“Ours is a scratch kitchen, with everything cooked on a daily basis,” he says, adding they offer “the finest margaritas and tequilas around because we use quality products.”
“I started out as a dishwasher, then was a cook, a bouncer and a bartender,” said to The Viera Voice.
“Since I was 25, I’ve managed other Mexican restaurants and lived in Jacksonville. We came here as a getaway and drove by where our first restaurant was and my wife said ‘that would make a good place for a restaurant’ and here we are,” Gonzalez said.
