Popular eatery and parlor Maxine’s is making significant improvements to its facilities as it builds out an outdoor dining space, according to recent reporting in The Community Paper.
“In total, the project is expected to cost approximately $275,000,” the report states. “Through the BAP, Maxine’s will receive $17,464.36 from the City, which is half of the $34,928.71 required for transportation-impact fees. The project will be an addition of a 2,647-square-foot covered outdoor space.”
“Just wanted to say thank you Neighbors for supporting our little restaurant!” Maxine’s official Facebook added, responding to the news. “We love all your comments about how excited you are about the new outdoor dining pavilion. We hope to have it completed by the end of November! But that’s not a definite, we will keep you posted!”
Readers unfamiliar with Maxine’s can refer to their self-definition: “a neighborhood restaurant” that is “diverse, comfortable, and delicious with a splash o’ sexiness.”
The award-winning establishment serves up upscale dishes such as picanha, lobster ravioli, lamb ragout alongside a thorough selection of wines from Europe and the Americas, among local brews.
