Mexican Seafood Restaurant Opening in Ocala

According to recent public records, a new independent restaurant is coming to Ocala. Mi Familia Mexicana, a new coastal Mexican establishment, will soon open at 4901 E Silver Springs Blvd. 

“We’re going to specialize in seafood,” owner Alfredo Vieyra tells What Now Orlando

“Guachinango (red snapper), mojarro (tilapia), cocktails, tostadas, campechanas, and broths. Essentialy anythiung having to do with Mexican seafood. We come from Michoacan.” 

When asked if this will be his first venture in the food and beverage industry, Mr. Vieyra says no. 

“This is my second restaurant. My first is called La Playita Mexicana en Memphis, TN.”

So when will this exciting new establishment finally open?

“I think I should open in February, if it’s possible. I’m currently in the permitting process.”
