Night Owl Cookies, a growing cookie chain based in south Florida, is soon coming to two locations in central Florida: one in Winter Park (at 111 N Orlando Ave) and another near UCF.

“Given how many UCF students visit our south Florida locations, we thought it would be a great location,” owner Andrew Gonzalez tells What Now Orlando. The UCF location will be opening “next month”, according to Gonzalez.

“Winter Park is my favorite neighborhood in the Orlando area,” Gonzalez says, explaining his rationale for the next location. “If I lived in Orlando, I would live in Winter Park.” The Winter Park location is “a few months” away from opening.

Gonzalez is eager to add that the brand will soon debut an ice cream program in which the Night Owl will partner with local creameries and serve up a new offering of milkshakes, cones, and sundaes.

“My name is Andrew G,” Gonzalez states on the official website. “And I’m the man behind the cookies. Ever since I can remember, I’ve been an avid sweets (and food) junkie. When I was about 20 years old, I began coming up with idea to engance the Miami dessert scene.”

“What I came up with was sweet and warm (pun intended). I wanted to deliver warm home-made cookies to my community. With the help of social media, food bloggers, and media outlets, my concept grew!”

Until the central Florida outpost opens, curious readers may visit the chain’s four south Florida locations.
