Orlando families will have a new place to cool off when Milkshake Factory opens at 595 W Church Street.
Franchise owner Johnson Miller tells What Now Orlando that he’s targeting an April 2026 soft opening, followed by a grand opening in May — just in time for the city’s busy summertime rush. He also shares some big news: “This is the first Milkshake Factory to open in Orlando.” Miller isn’t stopping with the one shop. The entrepreneur is planning to open a total of three stores with an eye to Lake Nona and the Universal/SeaWorld area for potential locations.
Miller shares that he decided to open a Milkshake Factory because he’s a big fan of the company — and the shakes. “Hands down, these are the best milkshakes I’ve ever had in my life.”
Milkshakes are made with housemade ice cream and come in flavors such as Peanut Butter Brownie, Cookies & Cream, and Salted Caramel Pretzel. Non-dairy milkshakes are also available.
Milkshake Factory has a long legacy with roots tracing back to 1914, when Charlie and Orania Sarandou opened a candy factory in Pittsburgh. Their family rebranded the business in 2003, evolving it into Milkshake Factory. To honor that legacy, Milkshake Factory still makes chocolate in house. The Orlando shop will offer chocolate dipped strawberries, cake pops, Dubai chocolate, chocolate-dipped pretzels, and more in addition to delicious custom milkshakes.
