Mochi donut and hot dog brand Mochinut will soon expand its footprint in Central Florida markets such as Tampa Bay and Orlando.
Franchisee Kim Nguyen told What Now that she and her partner Amad Hammad are planning to open a total of 30 locations across Central Florida.
That means a lot more of the brand’s signature mochi donuts in the Greater Orlando area.
“Mochi donut is a donut that originated from Hawaii which is a combination of American doughnuts and Japanese mochi,” says the Mochinut website. “Mochinut is gaining popularity owing to its unique shape and wonderful texture; light crispy coating with a soft chewy inside.”
Mochinut’s Mochi donuts come in varieties like Strawberry, Coffee, Churro, Ube, Taro, Matcha, Peanut Butter, Cookies & Crème, and many more. There’s also a selection of hot dogs prepared fried in rice flour. Inside that crispy fried exterior one can find not only a hot dog but also gooey mozzarella (or half of each). The savory confections come in flavors like Rispy Rmane, Hot Cheetos, and Crunch Cereal.
