Violet’s Ice Cream Boutique, a locally owned and operated dessert eatery, will be soon coming to Oviedo, according to public records. The restaurant will be located at 222 East Mitchell Hammock, within suite 1120, of the new Ellington at Oviedo Park development.

What Now Orlando reached out to owner and namesake herself Violet Sawukaytis who confirmed the establishment’s imminent debut, but kept much detail from being revealed.

“We just want to keep it quiet for now and have any media done months from now,” Sawukaytis says.

When asked about the space—whether ice cream fans can expect outdoor seating, an open kitchen, and other such details—Ms. Sawukaytis remains oblique.

“I wish I could, but we haven’t built out the space just yet, so it’s a little premature to give out information at this point.”

However, What Now was able to mine out one important bit of information: a potential opening month.

“We are planning to open in May,” Ms. Sawukaytis confidently stated.

While the menu was not provided, readers can reasonably expect an offering of ice creams made locally, fit for summers in the Florida sun.
