According to recent reporting in Orlando Weekly, a local restaurateur is soon making a comeback.
The publication reports that Pom Moongauklang, who recently closed her longtime Milk District sandwich shop and teahouse, is working on a new concept.
“Something new is cooking—introducing Pomisaan, a pop-up bringing the bold and herbaceous flavors of Thailand to you! Inspired by Pom’s childhood and rooted in traditional jungle food, Pomisaan features aromatic, flavor-packed dishes that highlight fresh herbs like galangal, lemongrass, Thai basil, and kaffir lime,” a recent Facebook post states.
“While Pomisaan isn’t at the Pom Pom’s Teahouse location (stay tuned for something exciting coming there!), you can catch this culinary adventure at pop-up events around town.”
Weekly adds that the concept’s cuisine will be inspired by the Isaan region of Thailand.
“Look for Pomisaan to pop up at various breweries (like Ivanhoe Park Brewing) around town with dishes like knom jeen (curry fish spaghetti) and chicken liver laab being offered,” the report states.
