CEO Stephen Bator and co-owner Ali Asmar are renovating a preexisting building that will soon host Lake Mary Social. According to Asmar, we can expect to find an upscale restaurant and bar environment once the doors are open in late summer.

The atmosphere they are shooting for is one similar to the London House, a famous jazz lounge and restaurant in Chicago that hosted great musicians such as Herbie Hancock and Oscar Peterson.

The concept will appear at 3005 W Lake Mary Boulevard, the same building that the now shuttered Cheers resided in. The team seems to be bringing a concept completely different from the pool, darts and bar food of Cheers.

During a phone interview with What Now, Asmar shared that they are doing a complete remodel of the space, and the work is in progress. If all goes well, we may see the new concept in late summer.

The new Lake Mary Social will be nestled beside a Planet Fitness, Tijuana Flats and Smack Wings.

A plan review filed with the Department of Business and Professional Regulation in January was approved with provisions on March 7.
