“Hey You,” do you love fall-off-the-bone barbecue AND pizza? The founder of Pig Floyd’s, (yes, a play on Pink Floyd) Thomas Ward, has plans to open up a new pizza place called Pigzza this fall, hopefully by September or October, he said.

So will this be “Another Pizza Place in the Wall?” When we talked with Ward, he told us that he wants Pigzza to be unique. That he would like to combine barbecue with pizza to “add an element of change to traditional Italian pizza joints.”

The restaurant will be located on 1050 N Mills Ave, close to his original restaurant, but will bring a “really interesting combination of flavors of smoked meats” he said. With a menu that will “have new things that people haven’t tried yet with pizza.”

We’re sure this new pizza joint will have patrons texting their friends “Wish You Were Here” very soon.
