Tony McFarr opened his first Reel Bowls restaurant four months ago in Windemere, and now plans a second location inside the new O-Town Center shopping center located between Universal Orlando Resort and Walt Disney World in Orlando.

Reel Bowls is a build-your-own poké bowl or salad restaurant. Patrons choose a base protein, which can include shrimp, salmon, grilled steak or chicken, tuna and veggies, and then finish their bowl with toppings and dressings. A kids menu, cookies and drinks are also available.

McFarr is a native Floridian who grew up in Merritt Island and graduated from Florida State University. The inspiration behind Reel Bowls comes from the time he spent in Hawaii working as a stunt double for Chris Pratt on the set of Jurassic World 1 and 2.

“That is where Poké originated from, so that is the back story of the concept and logo,” said McFarr.

Reel Bowls’ logo is a bowl made out of a film strip.

The 1,600 square foot space at O-Town Center is expected to open sometime in 2022, according to McFarr.
