The New York City-based Made in Puerto Rico Latin Cuisine and Sports Bar will be making its Florida debut at 6651 S Semoran Blvd in Orlando, according to a recent hiring notice and confirmed by restaurant COO Fabricio Alonzo to What Now Orlando

When asked whether the restaurant can be represented by a signature dish, Mr. Alonzo immediately named the Trifongo, a spin on the classic Caribbean staple mofongo, but made with three key ingredients—cassava, green plantain, and sweet plantain.

According to its website, the New York locations often host DJs and other nightlife events, offering frozen drinks such as Piña Coladas and Margaritas and even bottle service for serious celebrations.

Mr. Alonzo tells What Now Orlando that the Orlando location will open in mid-October. For curious foodies who may find themselves in the NYC area, the restaurant has two existing locations in 3363 E Tremont Ave and 26 Bruckner Blvd, both in The Bronx
