PopUp Bagels, the buzzworthy bagel company that started in a home kitchen in Connecticut, is coming to Winter Park.

The bagel place that specializes in fresh, unsliced bagels is opening at 646 S. Orlando Avenue in Winter Park, reports Orlando Weekly. When it opens, sometime during the first quarter of 2026, it will be the second Florida location of PopUp Bagels: a Tampa location opened just last month, according to Creative Loafing.

The Winter Park location will be operated by MPZ Holdings, a South Carolina-based company that currently owns and operates Marco’s Pizza, Dave’s Hot Chicken, and PopUp Bagels locations throughout the Southeast.

PopUp Bagels started in 2020, with Adam Goldberg making bagels in his Connecticut kitchen during the pandemic. After demand grew steeply, Goldberg started selling his bagels at pop-up locations before opening shops in New York City and Connecticut. Now, PopUp Bagels has expanded to Massachusetts and, now, Florida.

PopUp Bagels is known for selling fresh, unsliced bagels, paired with tubs of uniquely flavored cream cheese. Last year, the company collaborated with master pastry chef Dominique Ansel on a special bagel and escargot cream cheese combination.

The bagel shop has become known for its “grip, rip, and dip” experience, which calls for people ripping off a piece of bagel and dipping it into cream cheese rather than eating their bagel like a sandwich. It received a trademark in 2024 for its “grip, rip, and dip” method of bagel eating.
