According to recent public records, growing brand Press Waffle will soon be debuting in Florida with an Oviedo location at 888 City Walk Lane.
“It’s our first location and it will be the first in Florida,” co-franchisee Felix Rodriguez tells What Now Orlando.
“We really liked the concept. It’s a unique waffle concept, more unique than any other waffle concept you can find on the market right now,” he says, explaining his and his partners’ motivations to franchise the brand.
The team—Chamoticos Enterprises, LLC (a portmanteu of “Chamos” & “Ticos”, nicknames for Venezuelans and Costa Ricans, respectively)—is comprised of Mr. Rodriguez and four other partners.
“We’ve been friends for 11 years,” he says. “We all met here in Orlando.”
Unfamiliar readers unsure of what to order can rely on “The House”, per Rodriguez’s recommendation. It is “the most popular” item on the menu: nutella, strawberry, whipped cream, butter cookie cream on a crisp waffle.
So, when will the brand make its debut?
“We are hoping to open in the middle of September, if we can get the permits by then. Construction should be done by the end of this month.”
