The destination location Rose Plantation Restaurant is planning to renovate their dining area over the next few months. What Now spoke with owner David Andrews to get details about the forthcoming work.
The four acre lake-front property is centered around a century-old house where patrons can enjoy a “casual-elegant” meal, and Andrews has plans to increase the house’s seating capacity by around 50 seats.
To do this, Andrews plans to add tables and chairs to the upstairs floor, convert a modern bathroom into a waitstaff service area and add a staircase and an elevator. Downstairs, Andrews said that they will install a bar.
While extensive work is being done, Andrews and his wife, Diana, plan to preserve the natural charm of the antiquated home and property. “We always from the very beginning left the home in its natural state,” said Andrews.
The goal is to have the work completed by the end of September. When they will start is dependent on when the architect’s drawings are complete and contractors are hired.
