The national donut chain Shipley Do-Nuts will be making significant expansions in Florida, according to a recent report by the Orlando Business Journal. The report mentions that Orlando, Daytona Beach, Tampa, and Jacksonville are all in consideration for future markets.

What Now Orlando reached out to Franchisee Michael Joseph Burns who confirmed the upcoming locations and his prominent role in their development, but referred the publication to Public Relations for further detail.

Some hours later the company’s PR department told What Now Orlando: “According to Vice President of Operations for MLD Hospitality (the Orlando franchisee) Mike Burns, the first shop is slated to open in Q1 2023 at 5919 S. Orange Blossom Trail, with four additional locations throughout the Orlando area planned. We don’t have exact locations on those to share just yet.”

Founded by Lawrence Shipley in Houston, Shipley Do-Nuts has expanded throughout the United States, with notable concentrations in Texas, Louisiana, Arkansas and Mississippi. Apart from donuts, the chain serves cinnamon rolls, creme-filled bars and donut holes, cake, coffee and kolaches.
