Kura Revolving Sushi Bar plans on extending their Florida reach by expanding into Orlando. The brand, which has one other Florida unit in Aventura, opened their first restaurant in Japan in 1977 and has since grown to 540 locations across Japan, Taiwan and the United States, according to their website.
According to plan review data, the restaurant will appear at 11579 Regency Village Drive, in the Vineland Pointe shopping center, where they will neighbor other known eateries, such as: Shake Shack, Chipotle and Chick-Fil-A.
According to What Now research, the brand is still in the planning stage; they have not begun construction. An opening date is still unknown. On their website, the location is denoted with “Coming Soon.” The company has yet to announce the forthcoming restaurant on their social media.
The company specializes in blending technology and dining out. Guests place orders on a touchscreen at their table, and then they grab their food from a revolving conveyor belt a few moments later. Kura’s guarantee is to serve high quality food with additive free ingredients, per their website.
A recent new construction plan review filed with the state is still “in process.”
