Swig, the beverage shop that offers customizable sodas, is ready to refresh Daytona Beach.
Swig Drinks just filed permit applications with the Florida Department of Business and Professional Regulations for a shop at 1507 Outlet Boulevard, near the Tanger Outlets.
This 932 square-foot building will feature a dual-lane drive-thru for convenience, and it will be the first Swig in Volusia County. No opening date has been announced at this time.
The Utah-based company was founded by Nicole Tanner in 2010. The first location, a tiny 700 square-foot shack in St. George, was created to fill a need for people who wanted on-the-go beverages that weren’t coffee-based. The company is rapidly growing, with more than 100 locations across the country, including Florida.
Swig is famous for its dirty sodas — blends of different soda pop mixed with cream, syrups, and fruit purees. The soda shop’s menu includes the “Cherry Bomb” with Pepsi, cherry, coconut, and vanilla cream; and the “Big Al”, made with Diet Coke, coconut, and lime. Customers can also make their own bespoke beverage by mixing any soda or water with a choice of syrups and mixers. Swig also offers Refreshers (drinks that have a water base instead of soda), Revivers (energy drink-based beverages), hot chocolate, and light snacks.
