Teegan’s Tropical Ice, the growing snacks establishment specializing in ice cream and italian ice, is looking at expanding along the Florida coast in the near future, according to owner Lamont Alexander.

“Our Italian ice is non-dairy, very healthy, light on sugar,” Mr. Alexander tells What Now Orlando. “We also have a variety of homemade treats such as cakes and pies like lemon and banana cream.”

The upcoming expansion eyes sites such as Ormond Beach and St. Augustine, though they Alexander will only proceed after the Daytona Beach location shows promise and stability.

“We’re going to evaluate for six months and then start looking at new locations.”

When asked for his own favorite offering at Teegan’s, Mr. Alexander has a quick and certain response.

“My favorite is our specialty: strawberry shortcake. Our homemade ice cream, homemade pound cake, and then strawberry and vanilla ice cream and then Crunch, our secret ingredient.”

Daytona Beach will see the first new brick-and-mortar in the works, opening in mid-August at 947 Center Ave.
