In a brief phone interview, Tuccio shared some of their reasoning for expanding to Central Florida: “We always wanted to be near Rollins College. We’ve been waiting for an opportunity to have a space near the campus.”

For students around the area, The Bagel Shop plans on accepting the student ID card as a form of payment, utilizing services that allow students to spend their meal plan money at nearby businesses.

The brand was founded in 2015 in Beverly Farms, MA and they expanded to their second unit in 2018. Since then, they’ve opened up two more locations and are planning their fifth in Orlando by August.

“We’ve always wanted to operate in Florida; we feel that our model is suited well to the area,” Tuccio commented.
