A new restaurant concept called the Hen and Hog will be opening at 221 W Fairbanks Ave in Winter Park. This restaurant will take over Manzano’s Deli and is expected to soft-open in early September and fully open in mid-September.

The Hen and Hog menu will keep some of the same menu items as its original restaurant, which was named Mason Jar Provisions. According to this Bungalower article, “The 50-60-seat Hen and Hog will have beer and wine service when it opens” and “it will be more ‘upscale casual dining’ than Mason Jar, with plated dishes and table service.”

Some of Mason Jar Provision’s menu items included sandwiches, smash burgers, greens and platters. Some sandwich options were a Pulled Pork Sandwich, Hot Chicken Sandwich, a Chicken & Waffle sandwich, a Pork Cheesesteak and a Collard Melt. The smash burger options included the beef burger, the PB & J, the Bourbon Blue, the Chili Cheeseburger and the Mushroom Swiss Burger.

The platter options included a Fried Chicken 4 Piece, a Rib Platter, a Pull Pork & Brisket Platter and a Fish N’ Chips Platter. Those visiting the Hen and Hog can expect to see some of these options on the menu along with entirely new menu items.

This restaurant concept was created by owner A.J. Haines, a chef with an impressive culinary background. What Now Orlando reached out to Haines for more details on the opening but did not hear back.

As of August 18, the restaurant has begun remodeling. A photo of the empty deli but soon-to-be restaurant was uploaded to a Facebook post on the former Mason Jar Provision’s Facebook page. Keep up with the Facebook page for the most accurate updates on the remodeling and opening of the Hen and Hog.
