The popular Titusville artisan ice cream shop Mad Utter will soon be opening a location in Rockledge, according to a recent filing with the State of Florida. The establishment will be located at 2153 US Hwy 1, near the shore of Indian River, in an area relatively underpopulated by restaurants.

Defining themselves on the official website, Mad Utter states “Our ice cream is something straight out of a fairy tale. Send your taste buds down our rabbit hole of flavor on a journey you will never forget!”

What Now Orlando reached out to owner Chad Schrieber to inquire about the new location, its potential offerings and opening dates, but he was not immediately available for comment.

What can be known, however, through the company’s website is that The Mad Utter seems to be a passion project for Mr. Schrieber, “created to honor the memory of Carolyn Schreiber after her passing in August of 2017.”

“In July of 2018, her grandson sought to fill this hole with what Schreibers know best… ice cream. It came about by his family’s love of ice cream and his grandmother’s unwillingness to let him skip dessert. The Mad Utter, a small-town creamery in Titusville, Florida was officially born. Carolyn valued many things but most importantly was the moments spent with family. Our Family hopes you can experience the same love and joy we had over a scoop of ice cream. Join our family so we can be there for your special moments.”

Until the new location opens its door, readers can visit the original Mad Utter at 322 S Washington Ave in Titusville.
