A representative from Florida-based Tijuana Flats confirmed to What Now Orlando that two additional locations will be opening in the Central Florida area before the end of 2021. The company averages nine new stores each year with a total of more than 125 locations across the state.

The new locations will be at 14410 Shoreside Way in Winter Garden and 14152 Narcoossee Road in Orlando. Both will be corporate-owned stores and are tentatively expected to open in early November 2021.

Advertising bold Tex-Mex flavors and great service, Tijuana Flats is a fast-casual dining concept serving burritos, tacos, enchiladas, chimichangas, wings, and more. Side dishes include chips, cilantro lime rice, and black or refried beans, and a dessert menu lists sweet options like churro bites and cookie dough flautas. Coke products and Corona beer are available.

Diners can also opt to order take home meal kits that come with all of the ingredients to create their own Tijuana Flats dishes from the comfort of home.

The company was founded in 1995 by then-college student Brian Wheeler, who opened the first Tijuana Flats location in Winter Park. In 2007, Tijuana Flats created the Just in Queso Foundation, which has raised more than $4 million and donated countless hours to serving those in need. According to the website, franchising opportunities are currently available for additional Tijuana Flats locations.
