According to a plan review filed with the Department of Business and Professional Regulation, another location of Tropical Smoothie Café is on the way to central Florida. On Wednesday, What Now spoke with franchisee Yusmary Lorenzo to comfirm details.
Expect to find the new unit at 4344 Pleasant Hill Road. At this location, the smoothie joint will near other chain eateries like Taco Bell and Little Ceasar’s Pizza. Just down the street is a Chipotle Mexican Grill and the Cypress Cove Resort.
Lorenzo reports that she is in the permitting process, with hopes of beginning construction soon. By her estimate, the business will be open sometime in August or July. It will appear in a brand-new construction. This is Lorenzo’s first franchise with the company. For the next few months, the nearest outlet for the brand will be north on W Osceola Parkway.
The Tropical Smoothie Café brand began in 1997. Since then, they have grown to over 1,000 open locations, with more in development.
