Pico de Gallo Mexican Grill and The Bakery Colombian Cafe, two restaurant brands by Jorge and Heidi Cardona-Lopez, eye an upwards trajectory as they aim for growth, according to a recent report in The Orlando Business Journal.
“We started with a dream, and now the idea is to grow it and hope that the community likes it,” co-owner Jorge Cardona-Lopez tells What Now Orlando. “We do want to expand a little bit, but it will be slowly.”
“Pico de Gallo is a fast-casual restaurant in downtown Avalon Park serving authentic cuisine that is rooted in Latin American flavors and traditions,” the official website states.
“Pico’s bowls, tacos, and antojitos are a medley of flavorful and thoughtful ingredients that help satisfy your hunger and cravings.”
The Bakery defines itself as “Bringing only the very best of Colombian baked goods to Orlando and doing so in the sweetest way possible.”
“The Bakery Colombian Cafe will be filling your days with the flavor of Delicious Colombian Coffee and pastries such as our tasty pandebono.”
When asked exactly where Mr. Cardona and his wife intend to expand, he offers a few possibilities.
“We have considered Lake Nona, Waterford Lakes. We intend to be close to Avalon Park.”
No opening date was provided for these upcoming potential locations.
