Universal Orlando, the globally recognized theme park, will soon be adding a new food & beverage concept, according to a recent filing with the State of Florida. The restaurant’s filed address is 1000 Universal Studios Plaza, but it is not clear where exactly within the park the place will be located.

What Now Orlando reached out to Derek Way, Food Specialist and project contact, and Chuck Maloney, Director of Food & Beverage at Universal Orlando, to inquire about the upcoming eatery but neither were available for contact.

Given the sparse information available in regards to the project, it is difficult to know exactly what to expect. Universal Orlando offers an array of food & beverage concepts—from sit down eateries such as Mythos Restaurant and Fire Eater’s Grill, to simpler set-ups such as Doc Sugrue’s Desert Kebab House and Interplanetary Popcorn.

What can be known, however, is that standing on such prime real estate, the restaurant is almost a guaranteed success given that the Universal Orlando parks receive around 22 million yearly visitors.

What Now Orlando will update this story accordingly as soon as new information is readily available.
