Vicky Bakery, the classic Miami-based, Cuban-style bakery, will soon be making its debut in Orlando. The bakery and café will be located at 4556 S Semoran Blvd near Mike’s Italian Ice and Sazoncito Latin Food.

What Now Orlando recently spoke to Dione Brady, the upcoming Orlando store’s first-time franchisee, to get the latest low-down on this exciting new development.

“I’ve known this brand since I came to the US in 1983,” Brady said. “They started in Miami-Hialeah and I have nice memories going there with my grandparents. Their culture is great.”

When asked what she would recommend to a first-time customer, Brady finds herself unable to choose just one offering.

“Everything! Oh my goodness, do I have to pick one? The guava pastelitos are so great and then the ham croquettes too. There’s a cappuccino cake which is not a drink, but a moist cake with syrup.”

Readers can reasonably expect the Orlando Vicky Bakery to be open by Q3 of 2023, though there is no set opening date just yet.

“Hopefully we’ll be open by the summertime, but I don’t have a timeline yet since we just signed the lease.”
