One of Orlando’s best culinary teams are at it again.

Chef William Shen and restaurateur Johnny Tung, the  driving forces behind Two-Michelin-starred Sorekara, are working on a new concept.

The restaurant will be located next to the award-winning restaurant, at 4963 New Broad Street, at the former Colibri Mexican Restaurant, after it closed after two decades in business. The work-in-progress is expected to open by the end of 2026.

The new Shen and Tung collaboration is yet unnamed, but according to the Orlando Business Journal, the restaurant will focus on Spanish-Japanese cuisine, featuring, “shared dishes, an a la carte menu and a culinary lab focused on sustainability”.

The restaurant will focus on a more accessible menu than Sorekara, which offers only a few seatings per week for its tasting menu that progresses through multiple rooms and takes several hours to experience.

Sorekara is one of only two Two-Michelin-Starred restaurants in Florida, sharing the accomplishment with Miami’s L’Atelier de Joël Robuchon.

Though a menu is not yet available for the still-unnamed new concept, it is already one of 2026’s most anticipated restaurants opening in the Orlando area.
