According to information published by the Tampa Bay Business Journal, Yeoman’s Cask & Lion has plans to expand its existing 4,800 square-foot location in Downtown Tampa to include extra café-style seating, a large bar, and virtual reality golf.

Yeoman’s is owned by 23 Restaurant Services, which purchased the former Brightside Artisan Comfort Café and City Market Eats to allow for the 5,100 square-foot expansion. Yeoman’s has a second location in Kissimmee as well.

Celebrating British culture and serving authentic English food, Yeoman’s Cask & Lion began as a small neighborhood sports pub on Davis Island in Tampa in the late 1980s. Today, guests come to see the iconic red phone booth, eclectic pop art, and memorabilia, and to have a plate of fish and chips with their pint.

Located four blocks from Amalie Arena, home of the Tampa Bay Lightning hockey team, Yeoman’s hosts live music by local musicians on Thursday and Saturday nights and during Sunday brunch. According to the website, Yeoman’s is a family and pet-friendly business, allowing canine friends to dine with their owners on the patio.

Menu items include traditional English fare like Scotch eggs, Shepherd’s Pie, and crisps. An entire menu section is devoted to macaroni and cheese dishes, like Buffalo Chicken Mac and Spicy Bacon Mac, as well as sandwiches and burgers.

There’s currently no word on when the expansion will begin or how long it will take. 23 Restaurant Services President Marc Brown was unavailable for comment.
