Zunzibar, a beach-themed sports bar and full-service restaurant, will open a new location in The Villages in 2025, according to recent reporting in OBJ. It will be the sixth location for the Savannah, GA-based brand.

Reportedly, the new Zunzibar will be in the boathouse building in Middleton Downtown on Central Parkway, covering around 3,300 square-feet and around 185 seats. Construction on the new eatery is expected to begin in January or February, according to founder and CEO Chris Smith, and is projected to open in May or June.

An offshoot of the original Zunzi’s, Zunzibar serves “bar bites like falafel, as well as wings, peel-and-eat shrimp, sandwiches, bowls, nachos, salad, chips and cookies. Its bar offerings include margaritas, cocktails, party pitchers, beer, wine and shots,” the OBJ reports.

Until the newest Zunzibar opens, eager readers can find the existing three in Savannah; Tybee Island, Georgia; and Hilton Head Island, South Carolina.
