According to recent reporting in OBJ, Zunzi’s Enterprises LLC of Savannah, Georgia, will soon be expanding across the state, placing 10 of its Zunzi’s and Zunzibar restaurants in Central Florida.
While the operating partners have not been named, CEO Chris Smith told the Orlando Business Journal, “They’re well-capitalized, we’ve known them for a long time and they align with the culture and mission we have. It’s super exciting to get into the Orlando market.”
Reportedly, Smith found Zunzi’s through word-of-mouth.
“I had a Conquistador sandwich and a South African tea — the best sandwich and the best tea I ever had — and in that moment, I told myself someday I would buy the restaurant and franchise it,” said Smith.
No addresses or opening dates have been announced.
