K9 Resorts, which was started by two dog-loving brothers from New Jersey in 2005, is expanding its “Ritz-Carlton of dog hotels” into the Greater Orlando area, according to paperwork filed with Seminole County.

Edward Baim and Kenneth Myers (Canine of Orlando LLC) will be the owners of the doggie daycare and boarding services franchise that will open on 1.53 acres on State Route 426, just south of Eagle Pass Road in Oviedo.

Myers told the Orlando Business Journal that the group has the opportunity to open future locations in the four-county area of Orange, Osceola, Seminole and Lake.

The Ovieda location is expected to open in late 2021 or early 2022.
