Sandbox VR Launches at Pointe Orlando
Sandbox VR combines full-body motion capture with immersive gaming to deliver a next-level virtual reality experience. Players team up to solve puzzles and battle through a variety of action-packed games. Whether it’s a team outing, party, or family day out, Sandbox VR offers a thrilling group experience unlike anything else.
Immersive Experience, Personalized Highlights
Using state-of-the-art virtual reality technology, Sandbox VR has created one of the most immersive experiences in the world. The technology provides a kind of realism that’s unattainable in home VR. Guests’ own bodies act as controllers when they step into the virtual world.
Groups of up to 6 people can put on VR headsets and wear motion sensors. The latter captures their full body movements and lets them see and even interact physically with while battling each other in the game.
Sandbox VR’s in-house team featuring industry veterans, has nine different VR experiences for guests, including Deadwood Valley, Rebel Moon: The Decent, Seekers of the Shard, and Squid Game Virtuals among others.
After each session, guests receive personalized highlight reels, like movie trailers, that capture the laughter, intensity, and unforgettable moments from their adventure.
5 Holodecks at Pointe Orlando
The Pointe Orlando location features five private ‘holodecks’, virtual reality rooms designed for fully immersive group gameplay. Each holodeck allows a group to explore the virtual world as every player relies on one another in games designed to be social experiences.
Players are outfitted with VR headsets, motion sensors, and haptic gear, including vests and trackers on their wrists and ankles, for full-body immersion. This allows players to feel they are in the middle of an action film as they interact physically with one another.
Backed by prominent investors like Justin Timberlake, Will Smith, Katy Perry, and Kevin Durant, Sandbox VR is redefining the immersive video game experience.
