A New York-based smashburger chain is expanding its footprint in the City of Brotherly Love.

7th Street Burger plans to open locations at 3931 Walnut St. on the University of Pennsylvania campus and at 200 Ridge Pike in the Plymouth Square Shopping Center in Conshohocken, according to The Philadelphia Business Journal.

The upcoming openings will bring the brand’s Philadelphia footprint to four locations. Two additional restaurants are also in the works, with planned sites on Chestnut Street and in Fishtown.

Founded in 2021 by college friends Kevin Rezvani and Paras Jain, the restaurant debuted in New York’s East Village and has since expanded to locations across New York, New Jersey, Massachusetts, Maryland, and Washington, D.C. and now Philadelphia.

7th Street Burger uses quality ingredients and keeps its smashburger menu simple.

The menu features a cheeseburger and double cheeseburger made with 100% fresh beef, American cheese, grilled onions, pickles and house sauce on a Martin’s potato bun. A spicy jalapeño burger comes with a single or double patty, topped with jalapeños and ghost pepper sauce. Vegetarian options are also available.

To pair with its smashburgers, 7th Street Burger offers both classic and loaded fries topped with all the burger fixings.

Official opening dates have not been announced. However, the outlet reported the team is targeting a late-2026 opening for the University City location and expects the Conshohocken restaurant to open by the end of the year or in early 2027.
