A new Polynesian restaurant and market is preparing to open on Tropicana Avenue between South Eastern Avenue and South Topaz Street. 2 Gunz Island Market will open its doors at 2510 E Tropicana Ave Suite 103-104.

“We’re looking forward to catering our Polynesian community here in Vegas,” owner Gaiuli Tufaga told What Now on Friday. Tufaga says 2 Gunz will be the first Polynesian market in Vegas—until now, those looking for Polynesian ingredients have had to search for them in Indian and other Asian markets. “We have a big community here but we don’t have a market to buy things.”

2 Gunz, whose name is a catchy literal translation of Tufaga’s name, will serve dishes featuring foods like lamb, taro, corned beef, brisket, and more. Its market will stock products like frozen taro, yams, turkey, brisket, cookies, and other imports.

“Polynesian people have a lot of parties and weddings here in Vegas, and they know how to make the food, but they don’t always know where to find things,” Tufaga said.

Until now! Tufaga says the location is currently undergoing renovations and that no opening date has been set yet, but keep your eyes peeled for 2 Gunz Island Market opening on Tropicana Avenue.
