Formation Brewing opens at a new location in downtown Phoenix. The brewery and craft kitchen is designed as a taproom for community gatherings, local art shows, and events. Head Brewer Sam Townsend’s Arizona-inspired beers are the brewery’s centerpiece.

Nestled in 925 Fifth Street, the Formation Brewing will celebrate its grand opening on November 8. Formation Brewing is the newest concept from Wilding Brands, expanding the company’s presence in Arizona. The brewery celebrates Arizona spirit with locally inspired beers and food.

Announcing the grand opening, Formation Brewing CEO Eric Foster shared, “Formation Brewing is more than a place to grab a pint – it’s a place to connect. We’ve poured intention into every detail, and we’re proud to share this space with the Roosevelt Row community.”

Formation Brewing aims to be a community hub where guests can enjoy craft beer and create lasting memories.

The grand celebration of the Formation Brewery will kick off with live music, exciting giveaways, and a wide variety of food and drinks. Guests can sample the brewery’s craft beers and soak in the festive atmosphere.

The 10,000-square-foot space features a sunken central seating area and a 19-tank brewhouse with full views of the brewing process. The brewery also features a dining room, a bar, and a spacious lounge for private parties. The outdoor patio of Formation Brewery includes fire pits and big screen TVs that can be used all year round.

Sam Townsend, head brewer of Formation Brewery, launched an amazing new series of Arizona-inspired beers. This craft beer lineup showcases the Southwest spirit and his creative talent.

Townsend, a two-time Great American Beer Festival gold medalist and former Funkwerks brewer, leads Formation Brewing’s award-winning beer program.

The modern crafted kitchen features creative and locally inspired menu selections with several options of shareables, bowls, burgers, sandwiches, salads, and classic Detroit-style pizzas.

Menu highlights include smoked elote dip, chicken wings, pork nachos, and crispy dessert tanglers.

Smoked jalapeno Caesar, chopped salad with grilled chicken, a quinoa power bowl, and chorizo are also available as healthy options to pair with beers.

Formation Brewing’s welcoming space serves craft beer and hosts events to bring the community together.
