A brand new brunch spot called The Eleanor is getting ready to open its doors in Scottsdale, located at 3207 N Hayden Rd.

The new restaurant is the latest from Clayton Companies, a family-owned real estate company behind Fate Brewing and The Clayton House, both in Scottsdale. Owner Tom Frenkel tells What Now Phoenix that The Eleanor is expected to open on September 1, 2023. The new brunch spot will move into the former home of Scottsdale Cleaners in a strip mall near Lucky Plaza. While few businesses are in the building, such as Roadrunner Lounge and The Local Donut, the space has several vacancies.

The company’s plan was reviewed by the city council late last month for its liquor license. Clayton Eleanor, LLC proposed opening a 3,678-square-foot restaurant with a 1,523-square-foot patio. Customers can expect a sit-down restaurant with a welcoming environment that serves breakfast and brunch. While the application has requested to sell alcohol from 6 am to 3 pm, the restaurant’s proposed menu lists the restaurant’s hours as 7 am to 2 pm.

The two-page menu featured on the proposed liquor license report shows various breakfast drinks and desserts to be served at this restaurant. To drink, The Eleanor will offer coffee standards, such as cold brew, cappuccino, and several different latte options, including Vietnamese, chai, and honey lavender. The restaurant will also offer a few boozy options with its newly acquired liquor license, including mimosas, bloody mary, michelada, and eight craft cocktails.

As for food, The Eleanor will offer some quick options from the bakery. The sweet options include pancakes and French toast, while the classics on the menu include biscuits and gravy, chilaquiles, salmon benedict, and more. In keeping with its variety, the restaurant will offer a few egg-focused options ‘from the market.’ For those watching what they eat, a generous portion of the menu is on the lighter side. As for lunch options, The Eleanor has four different salad and sandwich options.
