A Capriotti’s Sandwich Shop is opening at Four Corner’s near Lakeside, according to the Upper West Side PHX blog.

According to their website, “Founded in 1976 in Wilmington, Delaware by siblings Lois and Alan Margolet, Capriotti’s was born from a desire to create something unique while honoring family heritage. To this day the whole roast turkeys, quality meats & cheeses, and fresh rolls and produce continue to impress our patrons and earn awards across the country.”

They also share the following: “Capriotti’s Sandwich Shop opened in Wilmington, Delaware, in 1976. Brother and sister duo, Alan and Lois Margolet, began with the simple goal to create a unique sandwich shop for “real turkey lovers” using real homemade ingredients. Honoring their Italian heritage, they named their sandwich shop after their grandfather, Philip Capriotti, who loved to cook traditional Italian food. So it began, the tradition of roasting whole turkeys in-house every night to serve the next day in a variety of popular sandwich recipes – including their signature best-seller, “The Bobbie”. Lines soon formed around the block. Capriotti’s grew very organically in the Delaware region for the first few years and eventually, Lois decided to retire to Las Vegas. However, retirement wasn’t in the cards and she soon opened a Capriotti’s just off the strip. Again, she found many customers who loved great sandwiches made with fresh homemade ingredients and again Capriotti’s grew to add more locations in Las Vegas!” Since then, they have gone from a family-run shop to a nationwide favorite, with more than 175 locations across the country.

Menu items include a variety of sandwiches, including cheesesteaks, turkey subs, American wagyu, classics, vegetarian. They also offer salads as well as cole slaw, tomato bisque soup, and chicken noodle soup.

No further details have been disclosed at this time, and Capriotti’s Sandwich Shop did not immediately reply to What Now Phoenix‘s request for comment.
