Good sushi at an affordable price can be tough to come by, but Valley restaurateur Tom Kaufman is opening doors to a new establishment called Tomu-San Sushi, offering the delicacy later this year at Market Street at DC Ranch at 20825 N Pima Road.

Although the new eatery doesn’t provide much information about its menu on its website, it does mention that it is expected to open in 2025. This would be the third establishment at Market Street for the Valley restaurant operator.

Kaufman opened The Living Room at DC Ranch in 2014 with the intention of creating a business that would be different from other wine bars and restaurants in the area. The restaurateur also opened Elvira’s just five years before The Living Room, gaining a quick following for offering its take on Modern Mexican food.

Tomu-San Sushi will bring its “sexy vibe” to the former Liberty Station Space directly across the street from the Living Room and adjacent to Elvira’s. The restaurant’s new Instagram page shows that the 2,798-square-foot sushi spot boasts a late-night energy with a sexy vibe. Its Facebook page shares that restaurant attendees can revel in craft beers and Japanese whiskey.

Tomu-San Sushi is expected to specialize in sashimi, rolls, and Robatayaki. The new sushi culinary experience will be one of nearly a dozen restaurants at Market Street at DC Ranch. With Kaufman at the helm, Tom-San Sushi is sure to be a new spot that foodies, much like The Living Room and Elvira’s, will flock to.

There is no set date for its opening just yet, but the doors to Tomu-San Sushi are expected to fling open by the end of 2025.
