Bafang Dumpling, a Taiwan-based restaurant chain with locations throughout the U.S., is planning to open a spot at 7700 W Arrowhead Towne Center in Glendale.
The 4,833 SF restaurant is slated to open at The Mosaic at Arrowhead Towne Center, a new project slated for the former Sears site at Arrowhead Towne Center.
According to the property owner and developer, NewQuest, Bafang will be located on the second floor of the center, joining other shops and restaurants. Proposed tenants include Lady M, Fat Milk, Royce Chocolates, and more. The center will be anchored by 99 Ranch Market, an Asian specialty grocer, and Japanese department store TESO Life. An official opening date has not yet been announced.
Bafang Dumpling was founded in 1998 in Taiwan and has more than 1,100 locations throughout China, Taiwan, and Hong Kong. The dumpling house is rapidly expanding in the U.S., with a dozen locations in California. When it opens, this will be Bafang’s first Arizona location. In addition, the restaurant chain intends to offer franchise opportunities in the near future.
The restaurant specializes in potstickers and dumplings, including its signature dumpling, hand-wrapped and filled with savory pork and cabbage. In addition, Bafang serves noodle dishes and soups, including a traditional Taiwanese mala beef noodle soup, topped with pickled vegetables, daikon radish, and bok choy.
