Earlier this year, restaurant owner Carmine Garone opened Better Dayz AZ in the former Twisted Cactus space in Chandler. Today, business at the new sports bar and grill is booming and Garone is already about to debut his next project.
Crossroads AZ is opening soon at 6430 S. McClintock Drive in south Tempe. It will be taking over the former Marauders space at the Tempe Square Shopping Center. Garone tells What Now Phoenix that they will hopefully open in a couple weeks, if all goes according to plan.
Pivoting from the sports bar theme of Better Dayz, Garone wants Crossroads AZ to have a classier feel. Everything from the music to the food will be elevated; think steaks and other upscale dishes.
That said, Garone doesn’t intend for Crossroads to be stuffy. Like Better Dayz, he hopes that customers will find Crossroads AZ “a chill place to hang out.” Stay tuned.
